Long time friends and co-workers
Granted, it has been a few years but as memory serves me, Chip started working at the Chatham Water Department in either 1992 or 1993. At that time, both Nancy and I had already been working there (Nancy – since 1991 and me since 1987). It didn’t take long for Chip’s upbeat and funny personality to brighten each of our days. I will never forget how generous and genuine he was. Never at a loss of words, Chip would share many of his personal stories with us. He will be missed by us immensely. Our hearts and prayers go out to the entire Bryce family (especially his wife Martje and son Marco).

HWB "Chip" was the great leader of the Morris Ave./"Central Park" neighborhood.
In an area that had some incongruent cliques---some of whom turned out to commit vicious felonies----Chip was the diplomat that helped maintain "a safe harbor of Morris Ave." & helped keep the younger children safe from the uncontrolled crew down the block.
Chip's infectious enthusiasm was an ongoing inspiration for everyone.
As background, Morris Ave. may have had more students between 1st grade & high school that just about any neighborhood in the East.
Chip was universally admired by all the children---regardless of age---and by all the parents & grandparents as well. Chip welcomed all to the Bryce's home & big backyard & was terrific in his "Golden Rule" treatment of everyone.
Chip's legacy is his positive nature throughout life; it will all be remembered by all of us that he inspired ----as we having difficulty navigating the turbulence of those early times.
What Chip taught us through his actions and deeds is an everlasting memorial to his greatness as a person and as a leader, and loving member of a great family----the Bryce family with fantastic parents Eileen & Henry Sr.; and siblings Ginny (my sister Molly's great friend), Rosemary, Janet, James & Tom.
Chip's great legacy will be everlasting through his wife, Martje, son Marco Thomas, his entire Bryce family & all those who knew Chip as a uniquely outstanding person !
Most Sincerely,
Burt

How saddened is the Aucoin family to read of Chip's passing. Dr. Aucoin knew Eileen and Henry and their kids as neighbors on Lovers Lake. We send Eileen our deepest sympathy. For Marco and his mom, Joan Aucoin sends sincere sympathy on Chip's passing at such a young age. Marco, the faculty of Chatham High School remembers you as such a sincere student, and we, too, send our thoughts and prayers to you on the loss of your father. Stop by next time you are in Chatham. Graduation once again is the first friday night, June 4th, and all will be there. Aimee remembers you, too, and says she is so sorry of this news. God bless you all, and God bless Chip! Peace be with you.
